Changing the account nickname

You can rename your account by changing the nickname. To rename your account, go to the Account screen by clicking the Account icon button on the upper main menu bar, Then, click the Edit icon button on the right side of the Nickname text box. Change the nickname and click the Save button.

Note:

• Changing your account nickname will not immediately affect existing chats.

• Your account nickname is only stored locally on your device and it is not synced up automatically between devices, so you may have the same account with different nicknames on different devices. does not appear anywhere publicly.

• Your account nickname does not appear anywhere publicly nor it's linked to your account address. It is only shared with your chat peers.
